     The Glory Song was written by Charles Hutchinson Gabriel. This song commemorates an expression of Ed Card, superintendent of the Sunshine Rescue Mission in St. Louis, Missouri. An enthusiastic man, he usually ended his prayers with, “And that will be glory for me!” Growing up on an Iowa farm, Gabriel taught himself to play the family’s reed organ. He began teaching in singing schools by age 16, and became well known as a teacher and composer.
